Stem cell culture supernatant treatment

What is stem cell culture supernatant?

This is the supernatant obtained when mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are cultured. MSCs, also known as somatic stem cells, are cells with the ability to divide and differentiate. Dividing is the ability to divide and increase the number of identical cells, while differentiating is the ability to develop into other cells such as fat cells, bone cells, and chondrocytes. Under the Act on Safety Assurance of Regenerative Medicine, mesenchymal stem cells are currently being used to treat a variety of diseases, including spinal cord injury, central nervous system disorders, diabetes, chronic pain, osteoarthritis, wrinkles and sagging skin, atopic dermatitis, and diabetes. The reason they are being used to treat such a wide range of diseases is because the various cytokines, growth factors, and exosomes produced by MSCs can repair a wide variety of cells and tissues.
Stem cell conditioned medium contains the above substances produced by MSCs, so it is expected to have the same effects as MSC administration. Furthermore, the cells used to produce stem cell conditioned medium include adipose-derived MSCs, dental pulp-derived MSCs, and umbilical cord-derived MSCs, and it is expected that there will be some differences in the components contained.
